Audit Lead

Austroads is looking for an Audit Lead to help establish and deliver the Temporary Traffic Management National Training audit framework.

Based in either Sydney or Melbourne, the Audit Lead will work closely with the National Temporary Traffic Management Operations Manager to envision, draft and deliver an audit framework for the Temporary Traffic Management National Training Program to participating jurisdictions.

The role is part of the Austroads Service Delivery team, which has a strong focus on functionality and sustained excellence of Austroads’ established products.

The role is responsible for:

  • Envisioning, drafting and delivering an audit framework for the Temporary Traffic Management National Training Program to participating jurisdictions.
  • Working with audit staff to ensure they have a full understanding of audit requirements and professionalism required to undertake audit activities of Approved Training Providers against service level agreements.
  • Assisting authorised training providers with identification and rectification of breaches in compliance and delivery.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, identifying ways to enhance value for our members and the public.
  • Maintaining and adhering to Quality Systems processes and procedures associated with the role.
  • Other duties as directed.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

The Audit Lead will possess:

  • Experience in auditing providers of vocational education and training.
  • Experience in auditing process for registered training providers.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with projects that involve the implementation of government policy reforms, with a high level of stakeholder engagement with government and industry stakeholders, would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and analytical/evaluative skills.
  • Effective consultation and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
