The Intelligent Access Program (IAP) is a national program developed in partnership with all Australian road agencies. It uses the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) tracking and wireless communication technology to remotely monitor where, when and how heavy vehicles are being operated on the Australian road network.

It provides heavy vehicles with access, or improved access, to the road network in return for monitoring of compliance with specific conditions of access as set by transport authorities.

The IAP is a certified service administered by TCA, and is an application of the National Telematics Framework.

IAP Service Providers are certified by TCA.

IAP Service Providers are easy to recognise as they are the only suppliers permitted to display the TCA Certified for IAP logo.
