Intelligent Speed Compliance (ISC) is a certified service which utilises the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) to independently monitor the speed of heavy vehicles.

Through ISC, speed is continuously measured and is calculated on a rolling average.

Recognised by government and delivered as part of the TCA National Telematics Framework, ISC meets regulatory benchmarks for reliability, accuracy, policy intent and tamper evidence.

ISC can be used by regulators to obtain assurance that heavy vehicles are not exceeding a set speed threshold, and/or to detect faulty speed limiter devices.

As an instrument available to policy makers, ISC has the potential to be used as a stand-alone instrument for recidivist operators, or in conjunction with traditional speed limiters – where it can be used as a secondary line of defence to detect speed limiter malfunctions or tampering.
