WHG certified by TCA to offer services through the National Telematics Framework
Transport Certification Australia (TCA) has certified WHG Telematics as an Application Service Provider (ASP) under the National Telematics Framework.
The certification encompasses type-approval of WHG’s telematics device and their Smart On-Board Mass (OBM) system, FleetWEIGH Smart Scales – which has been developed by WHG in partnership with Trail-Link and SKT Technologies.
Being certified means that WHG can offer the full breadth of Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA) and Road Infrastructure Management (RIM) schemes being made available to transport operators. Through FleetWEIGH, WHG will offer TMA with Smart OBM as a combined service offering.
TCA’s General Manager Strategy and Delivery, Gavin Hill, welcomed WHG as a new TCA certified application service provider.

TCA has type-approved FleetWEIGH Smart Scales as a Category B Smart OBM system. This means the system is suitable for use with National Telematics Framework schemes that require heavy vehicle operators to capture vehicle axle mass measurements as digital records.

FleetWEIGH Smart Scales provides wireless connectivity to provide real-time weight information on a tablet.
TCA’s type-approval process involves a comprehensive assessment of the device against the performance-based requirements in the Telematics Device Functional and Technical Specification and/or the On-Board Mass System Functional and Technical Specification.
