TCA registers IntelliTrac as a new service provider for Road Infrastructure Management application

17 December 2025

Transport Certification Australia (TCA) has registered IntelliTrac as a service provider for the Road Infrastructure Management (RIM) application. This registration enables IntelliTrac to support transport operators who wish to enrol vehicles in RIM schemes.

RIM provides a low-cost way to collect road use data from enrolled vehicles, including location, time, and identity information. This data is aggregated and de-identified before being shared with road managers through the Telematics Analytics Platform. The insights help road authorities plan and manage road networks more effectively, while operators benefit from improved access and productivity opportunities.

Paddy Goodall, General Manager Service Delivery at Austroads, said: “RIM service providers play a critical role in connecting transport operators with road managers who implement RIM schemes. By standardising data collection, RIM ensures information is gathered efficiently and cost-effectively, giving road managers a clearer picture of heavy vehicle movements across their networks.”

He added: “This approach supports better planning and investment decisions, while helping operators participate in schemes that improve productivity and safety.”

Dean Calapai, IntelliTrac’s Global Managing Director, said: “Being registered as a RIM service provider is an important step for IntelliTrac. It allows us to help operators meet compliance requirements while contributing to safer and more efficient road networks. Our focus is on delivering reliable telematics solutions that simplify data reporting and support industry needs.”
