Position - System Engineer


Job Summary

Transport Certification Australia (TCA) seeks an experienced System Engineer to join its growing team.

TCA is a national government body responsible for providing assurance in the use of telematics and related intelligent technologies, to support the current and emerging needs of Australian Governments. TCA is a 'cross-cutting' organisation which works across different policy streams, surface transport modes, and government and industry sectors.

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual, who has a hands-on approach that thrives in a close-knit team operating in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

This exciting and dynamic role will involve the following:

  • Conduct testing of Telematics In-Vehicle Units (IVUs), alcohol interlocks, GNSS enabled equipment and other equipment (hardware) in the field, and in the laboratory
  • Conduct analysis of IVU hardware when performing certification, re-certification, audit and type-approval
  • Assist in the development of specialised test equipment and methodologies to test hardware
  • Perform data analysis, presentation and reporting
  • Develop and maintain quality systems, records and technical documentation
  • Assist in the maintenance of NATA accreditation
  • Manage designated projects, from commencement to closure
  • Assist in written and/or oral reporting on project progress and issues to internal stakeholders and members or the board from time to time, if required.

The ideal applicant will have experience in ISO certified Quality Systems.

This role has an immediate start role and is based in the Melbourne CBD.

This role is based in Melbourne CBD, and the successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check.
