TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Roelands Hill Scheme (WA)
The TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Roelands Hill Scheme (WA) monitors:
- the estimated speed of Category 7 (A) AB-Triples operating under permit on part of the MRWA road network, namely Roelands Hill (the permit to operate is related to this section of road only; any other permits that vehicles operate under are not monitored by this scheme)
- whether enrolled vehicles stop for a sufficient period before descending Roelands Hill
- whether enrolled vehicles exceed the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Roelands Hill.
TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Lesmurdie Hill Scheme (WA)
The TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Lesmurdie Hill Scheme (WA) monitors:
- the estimated speed of vehicles on the National PBS Level 2B scheme operating under permit on part of the MRWA road network, namely Lesmurdie Hill (the permit to operate is related to this section of road only; any other permits that vehicles operate under are not monitored by this scheme)
- whether enrolled vehicles stop for a sufficient period before descending Lesmurdie Hill
- whether enrolled vehicles exceed the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Lesmurdie Hill.
TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Greenmount Hill Scheme (WA)
The TMA Hill Descent Monitoring – Greenmount Hill Scheme (WA) monitors:
- the estimated speed of vehicles on the National PBS Level 2B scheme operating under permit on part of the MRWA road network, namely Greenmount Hill (the permit to operate is related to this section of road only; any other permits that vehicles operate under are not monitored by this scheme)
- whether enrolled vehicles stop for a sufficient period before descending Greenmount Hill
- whether enrolled vehicles exceed the 40 km/h speed limit when descending Greenmount Hill.
Common TMA HDM Scheme (WA) Features
To participate in a TMA HDM (WA) scheme, transport operators must conform with the requirements specified within the access approval (e.g. a Notice or permit). Enrolment in TMA is one of these requirements.
Find out more details on an TMA HDM (WA) scheme by downloading a copy of the TMA Hill Descent Monitoring Schemes document.
To offer services for an TMA HDM (WA) scheme, an application service provider (ASP) must be certified by TCA to offer TMA services. TCA must also approve telematics devices used in the scheme.
TCA will analyse data received through the TMA application, and reports will be made available via the Telematics Analytics Platform (TAP).
