Integrated Vehicle Solutions gets Smart OBM type-approval
Transport Certification Australia has announced the type-approval of a Smart On-board Mass (OBM) system from Integrated Vehicle Solutions.
Integrated Vehicle Solutions supports transport operators with its cross-sector LoadSMART product.
LoadSMART is an on-board truck weighing system used in grain and waste, among other industries, providing customers with end-to-end automated solutions.
Raj Mali, Director of Integrated Vehicle Solutions, said, “LoadSMART weighing system has been serving Australian transport operators for 15 years and we are very excited to offer a Smart OBM solution. We look forward to implementing our LoadSMART T300 with many customers.”

*MSU means Mass Sensor Unit, which is the individual mass sensor fitted to each axle group.
Smart OBM systems use digital technology to collect and transmit mass data from vehicles in a reliable and standardised way. Road managers are using Smart OBM to introduce new access arrangements that are unlocking major productivity improvements by expanding available road networks.
Type-approval involves the assessment of OBM system ‘types’ against the performance-based requirements contained in the OBM System Functional and Technical Specification.
