Road Pricing
Road Pricing monitors heavy vehicles using parameters of location, mass, time and identity, and optionally through self-declaration, vehicle category. Based on data received, TCA can provide road use and billing reports to policy makers.
The application operates at a high level of assurance, and can support a number of trials and pilots in the form of schemes while satisfying privacy principles and legislative requirements.
How it can be used
Road Pricing can be used in the deployment of road charging reforms by policy makers through a pilot and trials.
It allows policy makers to receive road use and billing reports from TCA on receipt of telematics device data from providers.
